Airius Cooling Fans Installation at Virgin Active Bligh Street

Virgin Active Bligh Street opened with a clear focus on delivering a high performance training environment in the heart of Sydney.

With member experience front of mind, the club prioritised airflow and comfort as a key part of creating a premium studio atmosphere.



The Challenge

High intensity cycle classes generate heat quickly, and in busy Spin and Cycle rooms it’s common for airflow to feel uneven, leaving some riders cooled while others aren’t. Virgin Active needed a solution that could create widespread, reliable air movement with control and flexibility, without adding visual clutter or excessive noise in a modern club setting.



The Solution

To meet the brief, Airius installed 26 x Retail Series R20EC fans across the Spin and Cycle spaces. The system was laid out to deliver quiet, consistent airflow throughout the room, with the ability to fine tune direction and output to suit class formats, peak usage and seasonal conditions.



The Outcome

The studios now maintain a more comfortable environment during sessions, with improved perceived cooling across the full rider area. By delivering controllable airflow at scale, the R20EC installation supports a stronger member experience, helping the club keep classes comfortable, usable and aligned with the premium standard Virgin Active set out to achieve.
